Zone_of_the_Enders_Doodles_01_Sept2012

Some animation doodles of the main robot from the Game Zone of the Enders, or Z.O.E. for short.
I was playing some levels of Robotech Battlecry on the PS2, and was loving the fact you could fire off all these heat seeking missiles, and you can shift your plane into robot mode and use your rifle to shoot down enemy missiles. Was such a fun time while it lasts, makes me wish the game had a follow on game on ps3.
Anyway I've been waiting to do a zone of the enders drawing for quite some time, was just waiting for the right moment, i guess it arrived.
Left of page is Jehuty evading enemy heat seeking missiles, zinging and zanging in and out, trying to stay one step ahead, some missiles he shoots down with his finger lasers or they explode prematurely. Top Right is Jehuty pushing his boosters to full power, he can travel in sky and in space, even under water incredibly fast, I just imagined him in a big hurry to get somewhere and the pilot pushing him to his limit.
And finally bottom Right is Jehuty coming to a screeching halt, using his right arm blade to slice a missile in half.

I was mostly in the mood to show off blinding speed, it will be fun to do another of these.

I did hear recently that konami is planning a new zone of the enders game using their new Foxengine. Its about time, I have been waiting for either a ZOE3 or a reboot even since finishing the second game, so look forward to see that in presumably ps3 or ps4 graphics.
